In the early years after completing my academic studies in CIMA (UK) and The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka, a passion for organizing and working with voluntary organizations, saw me joining the Colombo Chapter of the Sri Lanka Jaycees. Working with similar like individuals saw my passion developing into training and communication. Toastmasters was a window of opportunity which I saw, and joined this great institution.
Short periods of breaks in between were also inevitable with further studies, as I progressed to acquiring an MBA degree.
Having initially been into the Training on a part-time basis, whilst also being a Visiting Lecturer, challenged myself to take it on as a full time career, and further broadening the scope of projects also taking on Consultancy projects. The satisfaction gained is immense, seeing many individuals acquiring knowledge and developing themselves to take on skills they aspire to have.
The journey has thus only begun .................
